Thicken Eyelashes And Eyebrows

Thin Eyebrows. The most common way to enhance the eyebrow is to use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the area. To do this without it looking obvious, use a pencil that is the same color as your hair color. try to keep the markings within the eyebrow, rather than at the edges.
Thin Eyelashes. if you are looking for thicker, longer eyelashes, there are several things that you can do. The eyelash frames the eye and draws the attention into your eyes as they move. this is a key place to consider adding a bit of thickness for added benefit.
To do this, you have several options. you can select to use a mascara to do the work. Apply the same color as your eyelashes and do so in one sweeping movement from the base of your eyelash line to the tips of the lashes. Mascara is a great way to make eyelashes longer too. An Additional Tip. In addition to these treatments, to thicken eyelashes and eyebrows, you should apply the correct color and amount of eye make up. Applying good quality products will result in a more natural look. Using eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara will improve the thickness of the eyelashes and the eyebrow.

Types of Knitting Yarn Fibers PLUS Easy Knitting Suggestions

There are a few core things you need to do before getting started on an easy knitting project. you must learn about different types of knitting needles and yarn, learn the basic knitting stitches, and decide on an easy knitting pattern. There are multiple ways you can classify yarn. Different knitting patterns will call for different types of yarn. it can be quite overwhelming to sort through all the different varieties to determine what will work best for you. I will break down the differences for you by giving you a description of the different types of yarn fibers that are available. I am new to knitting so I am always interested in what will work best for easy knitting projects, thus I will include my recommendations at the end of the article.
TYPES OF YARN FIBERS
Animal-based fibers provide great insulation, keeping you warm when it’s cold outside and cool when it’s hot. They are also very absorbent. some animal fibers are warmer than others, but even a light mohair yarn can knit into a warm sweater.

• Wool: all wool comes from sheep but can range from very rough and scratchy (from Icelandic sheep) to superfine fleece as soft as cotton (from Merino sheep). Merino yarn is fairly inexpensive and feels great against your body. Wool is the most common fiber to knit with.
• Mohair: Mohair comes from the fleece of an Angora goat. it is fuzzy and glamorous but can be itchy when worn directly against your skin.
• Cashmere: this is the most wonderful soft, fluffy yarn. Cashmere is combed from the belly of cashmere goats. it is VERY expensive so if you want the feel of cashmere without the huge expense you can buy a yarn that blends cashmere with something else (like wool).
• Alpaca: Alpaca fibers come from a llama-like animal and when used in clothing it is very very warm. Useful for hats and scarves but potentially too hot for a sweater. Alpaca yarn typically comes in earthy, natural tones and is considered a “luxury fiber”.
• Angora: Angora yarn is very fine and fluffy and comes from bunnies! it sheds very badly so it’s best used for accents rather than an entire item of clothing.

Plant fibers are not as insulating as the animal-based fibers but they absorb moisture very well and are strong and very breathable. another benefit of plant fiber is that it is all hypo-allergenic so if you are allergic to wool you should still be able to wear clothes made of cotton or linen yarn.

• Silk: Silk comes from the long fibers of unraveled silkworm cocoons. it is very strong and yarn made of silk is shiny, light and beautiful. Silk yarn is one of the more expensive yarns.
• Cotton: Cotton is light and absorbent, but not as stretchy as wool. it is a bit harder to work with (and shows uneven stitching) so better used for more advanced projects.
• Linen: Linen is a cool breathable fiber, but can cause your clothing items to be stiff and wrinkle easily. when blended with cotton it is much easier to work with. Linen yarn is spun from the long fibers of the flax plant and is very strong and breathable.

Man-made fibers, such as acrylic, are inexpensive and easily washable. However, they are not very warm or absorbent. Using acrylic yarn in clothing items will give you a result that feels like store-bought clothing. However, once you try using animal-based or plant fibers you will realize that they are a LOT nicer!

• Acrylic: this is the cheapest, easiest yarn to work with and therefore PERFECT for your first few easy knitting projects. it is great to use for projects intended for babies and pets since you can wash it easily. it is helpful to buy acrylic yarn with a little bit of wool blended in to make it nicer to work with and wear. Most of the fuzzy, furry, sparkly novelty yarns are made using acrylic so you will definitely want to check it out at least for those.

EASY KNITTING SUGGESTIONS
For your first project, definitely start with a simple acrylic yarn. you will not want to invest in the more expensive, luxury yarns for projects that you will probably make mistakes on anyway. when you feel ready to move on to different types of yarn make a few smaller projects so you get used to how the yarn feels, or try a blended yarn which combines several different fibers to get the benefits of both.
Once you have finished a simple project or two, you can move on to the higher end yarns or opt for a novelty yarn to experiment with. one of the first easy knitting patterns I want to try is found on the back of a skein of “eyelash yarn” which is one of the novelty acrylic yarns that is all fuzzy. it is a simple pattern but using that yarn can be difficult. It’s still fairly inexpensive so great to work with as you’re learning, but the results are very cute because the yarn is just so fun!

Bouquets to the City of Courtenay for trying to help the homeless. However as a homeless person I may have a better solution than they have come up with. since it will cost $480,000 per person over 10 years, computing to $4,000 per month per person I would like to volunteer to help the City avoid the controversy over the cost of land, building and housing by volunteering to accept $4,000 per month without them providing a home, meals etc. I am sure I can find acceptable accommodation and food for that price and if I can convince my homeless husband to accept the generous $4,000 per month too our problems are solved AND in addition I will do my best to find 8 more homeless volunteers and “Bob’s your uncle” – no need to buy or build anything!!
A Bouquet of sprinkler heads to the Regional district board (and the 5 appointed board members from Courtenay/Comox) for installing water meters in the Marsden /Camco area and keeping them out of Comox and Courtenay. When Comox and Courtenay use twice as much water per household than us and pay less than half of what we pay for water this makes perfect sense. With a 30 year pay back in water savings in the Marsden/Camco area and only a short 13 year pay back in water savings in the Courtenay/Comox area I can see why they don`t want them in Courtenay/Comox where they would get real water saving results. So another year of green lawns to you and your citizens and keep up the good work of keeping this out of your City and Town because you control the Regional board and know none of you would get re-elected if you pushed water meters on the citizens you are suppose to represent. we are all hooked up to the Comox Lake Water Supply and should all be treated equally and pay the same for our water. And NO mr. Grieve we are not happy about this so stop telling anybody that will listen that we are!!

The Comox Valley Montessori Society (CVMS) would like to extend a rousing thank you to all the local businesses who generously made donations to the silent auction in our 1st annual High Tea fundraiser on May 15th; your support made this event a huge success and ensures the ongoing choice of Montessori schooling to children in the Comox Valley. Our applause list very much includes all the wonderful bakers and service volunteers, all the devoted parents on the event committee, Queneesh Elementary’s dedicated Staff, the wonderful Pamela Tessmann, who’s lilting voice serenaded us for the afternoon, and of course the adorable and courteous children who inspired us all by serving dainty treats, demonstrating educational tools, or graciously welcoming our guests. Me and some other kids from our school -Aspen Park – went fishing on May 30 at the Courtenay Fish And Game Club. we all just wanted to say thank-you to all the people who helped us there today. To the residents who live near the intersection of Macaulay and Tammy roads at Black Creek. if you are the owners of a German shepherd and a white poodle-type dog in the area, be aware that those two dogs were seen chasing deer east across Macaulay Road at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 30th. please take responsibility for your dogs and keep them confined. the deer, and your dogs, run a huge risk of being hit and maimed, or killed, on that busy road. also, allowing your dogs to chase deer is illegal.

BOUQUET to the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce re: Shelter on Cliffe. Finally, someone is listening to those of us that provide funding for these projects, the long suffering, over burdened taxpayer. Local politicians blithely turn a deaf ear to those of us who have expressed our valid concerns over the location of this shelter. Many of us have written to express our trepidation on approaching the shopping area there. I myself, a pensioner, have been downright afraid to visit the CIBC, and Shoppers. Seldom can I go near without being accosted, even harassed for money. Why should I find other locations? These businesses are convenient to me and provide excellent service. I resent having to run a gauntlet of panhandlers just to go about my errands. Self-righteous politicians need to listen to those who actually come up with the bucks instead of conveniently forgetting, once elected. So what else is new.
Rules of the road or basic etiquette, drivers should practice MERGING on the Dyke Road going towards 17th street bridge, where two lanes reduce to one lane. often drivers will madly race ahead and squeeze in two or three at a time – no no no – it should be “every-second-car”, i.e. traffic should merge. City planners please get on this and put up a MERGE sign before there is a traffic accident. … a considerate driver

The Perfect Tools for Applying False Eyelashes

Choose those curlers that you are experienced with, stick to the traditional metal eyelash curler. There are also newer models of eyelash curler with the added feature of heat that maintains the curl of lashes. but if you have the traditional one, you can always use your blow dryer to apply heat on the metal. just make sure you do not put heat that will already burn or harm your eyes. Applying heat isn’t really necessary but some women found that they have better results and longer curl when heat is applied.
Some women believe that longer and thicker false eyelashes will help define their eyes more but they have the wrong idea. the use of longer and bigger lashes only overpowers your eye instead of enhancing it. by a set of false eyelashes that is luscious but not very pronounced. Wide, thick lashes looks fake so you ought to go for a less pronounced one but accentuate your eyes and blends in with the natural lashes.
Also, if you want good quality lashes that look more natural, choose those that are made from natural hair. It may come off pretty expensive but you get more stunning natural lashes. the choosing of eyelash adhesive glue is equally important because you need some glue that will not give in easily and won’t harm or irritate your skin. Select the eyelash glue that you are most comfortable to apply to your skin.
It is good to invest for the right materials but it is better to take good care of them so you got to keep them and save money by not being able to buy again. So take good care of your tools after using them because you’ll going to need them for the next time around for sure! Also, applying false eyelashes can be tricky sometimes but after some several practise, you will get used to it already.

Eyelash Tinting – Why to Go to a Professional Salon or Day Spa

After using mascara once or twice a day, for most of my adult life, I looked into eyelash tinting. There are many at-home kits you can order online for under $20 of course, but I found some scary stuff online too: bad reactions, horror stories, you name it. I am no fan of fear-mongering, but I do want give a concise account of why to leave lash tinting to the professionals.
If you go to a salon or day spa to get your eyelashes tinted, you are going to pay twice as much as doing it yourself. but think of it this way: If you pay a professional to do your nails, how much more important are your eyes? If you mess up in a finger nail at home, it can hurt or look all jagged or scary. but you really don’t want to risk allergic reactions, pain, or even (some have claimed) blindness over $20 bucks.
Eyelash Tinting at Home:
It might seem funny, but some women try to tint their own lashes at home – By themselves. This means they prepare one eye, keep it closed for the entire 15-20 waiting time (looking and watching with the other eye), clean that first eye off, and then do the same for the other eye. I have never worn an eye patch, but I personally wouldn’t want to do a process using only one eye. It seems like it would ache and strain from the over-use and concentration.
Like many beauty processes, girlfriends often do each other up. Sometimes they make an evening of it with wine; sometimes that can be a bad idea. no judgement being passed here… just don’t leave that perm activator or hair color in too long ladies!
Some at-home eyelash tinting kits come with little paper slips used to protect the eyelid skin from the tint. Several consumers report those slips being hard to cut to exactly the right shape.
I found a big selling, brand-name kit online whose first direction said: “For Professional Use Only”. really?
One big question you should ask yourself before trying this at home is: Will I be prepared for what to do in case I or my girlfriend have an allergic reaction to the tint? Sometimes just flushing the eye out doesn’t do it. more on this next.
Eyelash Tint Allergic Reactions:
Most day spas or salons use gentle, vegetable dye when tinting lashes and eyebrows (same as the at-home kits). The reasoning is obvious: they want to avoid using ammonia or harsh chemicals right on the eyes. This does also result in the dye only lasting for about 4-6 weeks. but even vegetable-based tints/dyes can cause allergic reactions.
Symptoms can be stinging, swelling, pain, and the inability to open the eye until the reaction is over. For this reason your salon esthetician will give you a patch test, to test for an allergy to the tint-used.
