Learning how to remove eyelash glue will help you enjoy the benefit
of false lashes without ripping out your lashes in the process. Really,
all it takes is some practice and the right tools and you will safely
remove the glue without much harm or pain. At the end of the day, it's
worth it, as fake eyelashes make your eyes look that much larger, exotic
and more alluring.
The first rule of removing fake eyelashes and
removing glue is to never tug at the lashes. Doing this could result in
you ripping off some of your natural lashes. If you have worn lashes for
more than a couple of hours, it's necessary to prep the lash area to
make removal easier. Soap and water is a great prep for removing eyelash
glue. This will loosen any residue glue from the lash area. Similarly,
olive oil and coconut oil are great for loosening or prepping the lash
area.
Invest in some eyelash remover and apply it to your lash
line with a piece of cotton. Start application at the outer edge of the
line and work your way inwards. If you don't have eyelash remover,
general eye makeup remover will also get the job done. Let the remover
soak so the glue softens. However, make sure to leave the remover on for
no longer than a couple of minutes. You don't want it to dry out.
Once
the glue's softened, take a corner of the lash band and slowly pull it
off. Use tweezers for individual fake eyelashes. You may need to dab at
the glue with some remover to completely remove the glue from your eye
area. Make sure that you finish this process by removing the rest of
your makeup and taking the time to clean the area around your eyes.
