Eyes Position: Closely and Broadly Set Eyes

Eyes PositionEyes position is as important for face harmony as eyes size. If eyes are too closely set, this may speak for person’s dependency on his/her parents and for restricted abilities to self-development. If eyes are too broadly set, it may denote cold relations with parents or insufficient parental care. The first type is a sign of weak character, the second one stands for great potential. If eyes are harmonically set, the person is in harmony with himself/herself and the world around.

Closely Set Eyes:
  • Apply eyeshadow beyond the external tails of the eyes. Use light shadow for the inner part of the eyelid and brighter one for the outer part. Shade the borderline between the shadows.
  • Indent 2/3 of the inner tail of the eye and start putting eyeliner. Draw the line a bit beyond the external tail of the eye.
  • Use two shades for highlight under eyebrows: make the inner part very light, and let the outer one be darker.
  • If you wear glasses, choose rim with light side. Do not wear glasses with heavy side.

Broadly Set Eyes

People with broadly set eyes look younger, so there is no need to change this impression.
  • Still, if you want more harmony for your eyes, use bright shadow for inner part of the superior eyelid and light shadow for its external part. Do not draw the line beyond the eyelid; on the contrary, let it shape the tails of the eye.
  • On the inferior eyelid draw the line as close to the inner tail of the eye as possible – outline the eye at full length.
  • Heavy side and dark color of inner part of the rim visually bring eyes together.
